Latest evidence

Chess-results.com lists 14 Portuguese-federation tournaments in 2025–2026, held between 2025-05-24 and 2026-10-04, with 'GDC Casquilhos' as venue and in the title (organiser field: 'PDX Barreiro'). The latest, held 2026-10-04, was 'Torneio Sub8+Sub10 GDC Casquilhos (Barreiro)(4 de Outubro, Domingo, 15:00)'. Organiser and venue are taken from the chess-results search listing, not from the tournament page. GDC stands for Grupo Desportivo e Cultural dos Casquilhos (shortened name). Local press of 2025-01-26: in the first leg of the 26th Barreiro Chess Circuit the best woman was Maria Ferreira of GDC Casquilhos (the player is named under the club; a chess section is not described).
